11th Annual Capital Ringette Classic

It's so awesome that you're coming out to Calgary! I honestly tell people often that in over 30 years in a wide variety of sports at all levels, the Capital Ringette Classic stands out as the best run. Hands down, no contest outside of maybe the Western Canada Summer Games… but that's not really a comparable. And I've been to several national level events.

The Capital Classic is hands down the most well-run, competitive, and memorable tournament we've ever attended. It has become a must-play on our calendar every spring. Our teams have made countless memories — from the chance to play against a wide variety of teams, including many from out of province, to enjoying the spring weather warming up outdoors, picnic lunches. Every detail of the weekend is a win for both players and families. The vibe is always positive and upbeat. One of the biggest highlights is the Sunday playoff games, which feature light shows that create so much excitement for both players and fans. The tournament organizers truly go above and beyond. They are always smiling, greeting teams, thanking participants personally, and communicating clearly every step of the way. It's rare to see such a well-organized event combined with so much personal warmth and attention. Honestly, the only downside is that we're already getting anxious about making sure we don't miss the highly anticipated registration date!

This will be my fourth year coaching a spring team, and the Capital Classic continues to be our absolute favourite tournament to attend! It is incredibly well organized, all in one arena, and the energy and vibe throughout the weekend are unmatched. The girls look forward to it every year, from the MVP medals at every game and swag, to running into all their friends from other teams in the same arena, and of course… the freezies! It's become a highlight of our spring season and a tournament our girls genuinely get excited about every year. We can't wait to be back!
